我很少看電視劇，但因為知大長今有中醫和烹飪的內容，故也想看，尤其中醫情節，我邊看就邊一起揣摩病情，上一集皇太后的病情是脾胃虛而拒藥，補脾胃的藥都難進，兼見下肢水腫，古書都有載應用以火培土法治之，即是補腎陽來補脾，我自己也實驗證明此法見效，比直接治脾更有效，若病情是脾腎陽虛，則進党參、白術之類皆效難顯，但若用附子，藥到效見。是故大長今中用大蒜來治也有效，因蒜補腎陽，但就不是如劇情所說大蒜是益腸胃之品，我發現劇中不少對中醫的理論都引用錯的，說到底是一部電視劇，可能認為縱使把很深奧的中醫理論交代清楚，觀眾都未必明，而帶過算了。但總的來算，已經很不錯，例如講皇后小產的治法，當初斷為胞衣不下，醫官用失笑散和生化湯，都對的，是正統治則。
