I know of Three cars That can't play and are interested. One splayed motor (me) and two big blocks with big chiefs( Lonnie Sumner and David Wallace) I believe there are others in the Austin area but can't talk for them! Lets talk up guys! Why can't the splayed valve guys run with the big blocks ? Looks like about the same HP. If one car dominates add weight to equalize, Maybe average the top few cars and make the runaway add weight to bring him/her back to the average without killing him/her This would allow a close program
Like you know everone will not be happy but at least get a car count. To any one who thinks this will not be expensive.
Don't be foolish! Everyone will be forced to get the max out of their combo. or just be happy to show up. If you don't spend money over the next guy plan on not winning! Speed costs money ! Sometimes more money can be spent on inferior heads than needed. THEIR PARTS MUST BE IMPROVED OVER THE NEXT GUYS AND WILL ALWAYS BE SKILL OR MORE MONEY TO BUY SKILL TO GAIN AN ADVANTAGE. ADD WEIGHT TO ALL WAY OUT OF SIGHT AND MAKE IT A TIGHT PROGRAM. AVERAGE THE TOP CARS AND EQUALIZE WITH AFFORDABLE WEIGHT. THIS CAN ALWAYS BE ADDED OR REMOVED AS EVERYONE CATCHES UP. CLOSE FAST COMPETITION WILL MAKE THIS PROGRAM!

[> Re: Marvin...We are searching for a middle ground for all. The problem with the exotic style heads is that they are cost prohibitive for most. You refer to car count, but I seem to recall that the pro gas guys started to fall out after the "comp motors" showed up. We are looking at every option for next year, and will try to come up with a plan for all. Just don't want to exclude a bunch to al;low a few... see what I mean? We would love for you and the Big Chief guys to play with us... just have to figure out a fair way. -- John Harrison, 06:31:24 10/05/02 Sat [1]
