Subject: TPSA Next Race
I would like to add a couple of comments to what John had been saying. If you want to race, please say so. We originally had not planned to race this year at all. Glen offered a couple of dates and after some discussion we felt it would be a good thing even though we felt ill prepared. So if we seem a little anxious, it's because we have a real opportunity to fine tune a lot of issues and we can start next year with some experience. Now here's the big picture. This next race is perfect for us to showcase the cars in a big show. Pro Mods, Big Dogs, and lots of spectators. We have invited some potential sponsors to this event in hopes of securing a committment for next year. Obviously, we need a good turnout. If you truly want this program to succeed, then you need to participate. A sponsor committment means purse money and exposure. We need both. By the time this next race comes around I figure Mike and I will have sunk about 4 grand in this deal. We ordered windshield decals, comp.numbers, t-shirts, golf shirts, banners, advertising and the list goes on. I suppose we could have built a couple of cars and raced each other, but we'd have gotten tired of that. So here we are. We want to have a professional organization with good purse money, a points race, a big year end dinner and some great racing with some great people. We have a fantastic opportunity here. Help us get it done.

We are trying to get it all together for the next race.I think we are going to have to step up the motor a bunch to be competitive, but we are working on it.The 100# penalty for the tall deck is going to hurt us some, but i can understand policing the cars by sight. What i want to know, is the 100# penalty going to be in effect next year?Hate to get it all running right, and still be counted out.Our tall deck is a little small...LOL -- Tim@Jones Automotive, 10:20:25 10/05/02 Sat [1]

We will modify the rules based on these two races for next year. It doesn't matter if a car is a little off the pace right now. We still need the data and we need car count for sponsorship opportunities. I'd pay 50 bucks and run my pit scooter down the track if I thought it would help. More cars equals more information equals fairer rules. It's just that simple. -- Mark, 16:04:49 10/05/02 Sat [1]

figures the one weekend where I am on the tree all weekend. My worse light all weekend was a .510. Then the car freaked out and picked up when it had been slowing down in the good air. Oh well I got to get a mirror in that car I didnt know where you where and was expecting you to come blowing by me any minute. The Martinez boys gave me hell over that one. LOL
