I have been working with my cousin on a deal we can do with stages for the lan

Basically it is this:
The upstairs area of stages (where the pool tables currently are), blair is looking at turning into more lanning area.. more like a cyber cafe than that little computer area at the end of stages like it is now..

It is blairs own project which he is working on solely, and he wants to convince his boss to buy 30 or so new computers for that lanning area..

now heres the deal:
in order to *persuade* blairs boss that its a good idea, we back/support blairs project thru gamer.net / the lan.
In return, We will get to use the 30 brand new PC's that are fully CPL spec for the LAN, before stages even uses them, after the event, they will go into stages.

If blair can get us 16 computers, stages is a minor sponsor.
If blair can get us 30 or so computers, stages is a major sponsor.

Mirage is meeting blairs boss about it tonight (tuesday)
I wanted to go too, but couldnt make it because of work responsibilities (dont laugh)

just keeping you all upto date..
that is all.

Meeting at Stages went really well. I have just been to Gateway to arrange the meeting with their marketing directors - the same people that are helping with the event.

They are keen to sell Stages the machines at a good price.

Gateway do not have a big office - they asked me to come along with the Stage's purchasers/owners.

Even if Stage's decide not to purchase these PC's they were very keen to hire 16 kickass machines to put on stage under the name Stages.

So we have an official Internet Cafe/Arcade, it's Stages.

Stages met with Gateway today.

Stages wanted to buy better specced pc's than the ones that Gateway had planned for the event. i.e, either flat 17inch screens or 19inch screens, geforce 2 gts or geforce 3, 1.7ghz instead of 1.3ghz. So Gateway are putting together another pricing for them.

They swapped business cards etc. Now we need to wait to see if Stages can afford the better machines.
