"Mama Dreemy" here, batting back tears....oh my my my, I am so proud of all of you! (mother hen clucking noises) You all are so incredibly wonderful. I don't have words to say what a heart warming thing it is to check back in here (after unforgivably long gaps of late) and find not only that the "regulars" are manning the forum with gusto so admirably (J you are just amazing, with all you have going on, here you are holding the fort with impeccable timing!)...and here have returned so many long lost friends back into our midst (pausing to embrace Winterwolf, Autumrose and Sir Puma....did I miss any recent returnees??)as well as all these delightful new "faces" who have come seeking connections! Welcome to you all, most heartilly. I hope you have taken the time to read up in our "about us" section how we all originally came together. But understand that this forum here on the internet is a living breathing organisim which conitnually evolves, growing and adding to our lives both in numbers and in enrichment from our sharing. Many of us have had to be away from the forum for periods of time, but most return at some point like a virtual ebb and flow that seems so easy and natural. We pick up where we left off, with joy, like family who are reuniting after having been apart for a time.
Puma, dear, I am overjoyed to hear of your engagement, and recall, as J did, how you were so longing for love for so long. May your joy be overflowing!
Autumrose, how are your little ones? your husband? How big is your current managerie?
Winterwolf are you still in school? Still writing?
I have so much to catch up on with all of you.
BTW, Pa. is a rather pagan-friendly state. Pretty much the entire north-east is. Of course when you get further south into the bible belt or the small towns of the midwest you encounter a lot of old fears and misconceptions, but the southwest and pacific coast are more eclectic like the northern east coast. Of course the southwest has so many relocated new englanders it's getting to be like a social neighbor to places as far away as Maine!
I am having some geographical fantasies and mental meanderings of late....not in any way shape or form ready to move again any time soon...but I do miss both new england and the southern coastal areas. (waves to any of you dwelling thereabouts). We trapsed up to NH 2 weekends ago and got a good heavy dose of snow and new england charm before heading back to northeast Pa where we have an unseasonable warm bit of weather this week. Every critter that was hybernating has woken up and is running around half-dazed and confused wondering what time of year it is. We'll be hovering close to 60 at midday all week. This is all following an above average amount of snow and low temps all Dec long! Go figure.
Hope everyone had a blessed Yule! Spell weever and I just celebrated our 10th anniversary. he proposed again, complete with a ring! Just so so sweet. Haven't decided if we are actually going to do a repeat of a ceremony anytime or not but it was lovely to be "engaged" all over again. I am working about 5X as much as i was this time a year ago, maybe more when you add in other sundry businesses. Both kitties are still with us, but Dora is really showing her age these days (going on 18 yrs old!). Can you believe our youngest is a Junior in HS? All kids doing well, and so is my mom. I will proceed onto the next round of medical "investigations" as we are still trying to find out why I have double vision! oh bother said Pooh.
To all you newbies who have just arrived, do please tell us more about yourselves and how you found us and came to be on your individual "paths". A huge warm wlecome to each of you!
Hugs and brightest blessings to all1
Dreemy
