As for duplication in spell-work think of it like any other form of communication or effort.....repitition is seldom a bad thing. As for really big magical efforts one needs to really continually and patiently keep on keeping on the same as you would with mundane things. For example people say "oh I did a spell for a new job and I didn't get a new job so magick doesn't work for me". That's like them saying oh I went on one interview for a new job and I didn't get it so I didn't go on any more interviews....cause interviews and job-seeking doesn't work for me!!! Like "duh" you keep on until you get the thing accomplished or you change your goals. Like if you are banging your head against a wall forever and a day to get a job as a waitress and it doesn't happen you look for other opportunities. Same thing with magick...of course it goes hand in hand with mundane efforts, but you don't stop just cause you didn't reach a goal immediately...or as with anxiety and worry...it is an on-going issue that will not be a quick-fix or a done deal. It is the same with someone who has a temper and does spell-work on that issue...they will have to do a lot of other soul-and personality work probably most of their lives and they will achieve success but they will always have to keep on top of it. So that would be a person who might find it benificial to continually integrate magick into their day-to-day habits which helps them not loose their temper, as well as all the other things they would do as a life-change with this issue. So do as much and as often as you feel the need/desire.
As for the roomates and new apartment....it starts with a really thorough regular cleaning (the ajax, the clorox, the vacumme, the windex, the bug spray, etc.). This the roomates can be part of. Then go back when you can have the place to yourself and do the magickal cleansing. I will tell you exactly what to do and I have stuff you can have to do it. I prefer the native-american influenced "smudging" that Crystal also uses. But, in truth you will need to develop some on-going cleansing and protective-energy skills for the long-term since energy isn't stagnant or fixed, but ever-changing. The roomates have a tiff, and someone gets mad in the apartment, or someone is depressed or angry all the time...whatever the normal stuff...like in a family home...the energy keeps changing. So yeah, you can cleanse away the past tenants' stuff, but you 3 will bring in your own plus visitors! It's normal. There are techniques for instantly anywhere and anytime protecting yourself and your space and keeping it filled with positive energy as well. If you wish me to I would teach you. I am not into elaborate stuff these days....I much prefer things and techniques that I can do anywhere at any time without anyone being the wiser.
But everyone here has fun little bits to share just like Crystal's flushing spell (gotta love it to the moon and back!) So why don't ya'all share some of your favorite easy charms, and whatnots. Jerusha has a nifty little car-protection one she swears by. I have another that I put in both my sons' car gloveboxes when they each got their cars...funny how despite their own beliefs or lack there of at any given time, they definitely had no problem with mom's protection charm for their car! And there are things you can hang or put by your door, both of the apartment and of your room, for permanent effectiveness. Some of the best magick uses plants...live ones. Especially if you plant it yourself from a seed and give it a purpose magickally. Well, folks, share your faves. Scarlet has a car, a new apartment coming, and job(s) and classes. So she is in lots of different situations. What do you all suggest? Anyone out there in a living situation with roomies?
