For the rest of you wondering who the 8-legged friend was:

Scarlet and I were sitting on the floor and talking and a little spider came walking along in front of us and since we were in a public place and not wanting to make a scene i just sort of pointed to the spider and we both backed up and sort of watched it on its way as we talked.

Well the interesting thing about you bringing up the spider, Scarlet, is that 3 years ago, when Jerusha and Moondance, came to visit me they brought me lovely gifts. One was a beautiful rock that Moon had painted which is still on my altar, and another was a necklace with a spider that j said was because I was the mother spider for the on-line group here at WCOF. So I am thinking that our little 8-legged friend's appearance and your mentioning it now as I am so focused on my oldest son (today is his birthday) and him being out of touch and all his varied crisises.....well, maybe I have to ponder the whole spider metaphor. What do the babies do when they leave the mother spider and hatch out of thier little nest-coccoon? Well they spin these little threads and let the wind catch them and carry them off. (scenes of Charlotte's web! BTW one of my second oldest son's favorite childhood movies..flit through my head) The babies were all protected in the caccoon, but once they have blown away on the wind to their new lives the mother can't really do a lot more.

Ok, so I am going to hope he calls today, and that the 'wind' brings a message back.

As for your not feeling like you have a contribution to these discussions, you absolutely do and we all want to hear your thoughts. Understand that 'oldies' learn just as much from 'newbies' as the other way around. Nothing like a fresh perspective and 'new' eyes to open things up for the rest of us!

Thanks for all the empathy!
Dreemy

PS will be laughing about the cell-phone possible misinterpretations for some time.
