I thoroughly agree that we should all educate ourselves on not just wiccan/pagan religions but ALL religions. But I'm wondering if there would not be a conflict with the generalized tradition of silence among wiccans and pagans? It seems once you do in fact become educated on other religions then you will be involved in many indepth conversations with others and your own beliefs are going to be front and foremost. As an example (and please excuse me for using you as an example Rabid)...Rabid is a VERY knowing/educated/learned man about all types of religions. But we read his posts here on a wiccan/pagan site. So in Rabid's normal everyday kind of life...when the topic of religion comes around do you share your Wiccan beliefs or just more of a "all religions accepted" kind of thought.

I have found myself, in order to I guess "hide" my wiccan beliefs, just silently listening in when the topic of religion comes up in my everyday life (at work, soccer games, etc.) Yes, I'm in the old broom closet to most people. But it's also a bit of me not wanting to speak out unless I know someone else is capable of an open-mind and willing to accept that I'm not going to be sitting next to them at their baptist church on Sunday. ((I really can't stand getting blasted by someone who starts quoting scripture while guzzling a beer, smoking dope, cussing and swearing, etc.))

I think being accepting of all religions would be a great boost to humanity. But how to accomplish that when some religious groups are traditionally silent?
