I'm curious what your "feelings" are during these violent or disturbing dreams? Like with the large black and tan dogs? Are you afraid? Are you frozen in place? Are you facing them down?

And with the other dream you described in the Mall...again are you afraid? Are you calm as you watch? Are you thinking of ways to help the hurt or injured people? What is going through your mind?

There might be some answers there in your feelings. Perhaps the big black dog (your ex)is snarling and growling and raising all sorts of commotion. BUT, if you're not afraid of it then PERHAPS it's really just a dog that's all bark and no bite. Does that make sense?

I also tend to have disturbing or bizarre dreams. I call them night terrors because they are so much more than a typical nightmare.
