hi everyone - just sitting back and thinking about all that's gone on today. the reason i signed onto this board was because i am a great fan of burton's music. partly because of the music and partly because (if you've read some of my posts) because my late uncle - (ben mcpeek) worked with the band. to me the two are and always will be intertwined. my uncle was basically my father as i was growing up, and it was always a bragging source for me (especially when i was 14) that in some way i had a guess who connection. that doesn't minimize the admiration i had/have for burton (AND RANDY FOR THAT MATTER) but it seems that some people just don't know when to leave a good thing alone. i enjoy this board cuz we can talk and exchange ideas and musings on b.c, and the g.w. , and what they've meant to us. i'm really excited about the upcoming reunion and equally excited that burton is here with us on line, let's not get too carried away here, and blow a really good and i think unique experience-(it's not everyday that you get to speak to your heroes on an almost everyday basis). so let's all have fun, get to know each other and mostly - please - keep the focus on the music and the magic that inspired all of us to be here in the first place -- joe
