Hello Burton, it is we fans who should be so humble and thankful. I have been a fan since the early Guess Who days. The Guess Who was my first and only fav band. One of my colleagues has a great black and white picture on his office wall of the Guess Who circa 1966. It is taken at a dance at the University of Manitoba and my friend believes it was one of the first gigs you did with the Guess Who. He was one of the dance organizers and said you were all great guys and very cooperative. All of you have suits and narrow ties. Is there any way the CBC will make available those great Let's Go shows? Didn't you sing Light my Fire on one of those? Our family were true westerners in those days, moving from Edmonton to Vancouver, then Calgary and then Victoria in a space of two and a half years. I fondly remember hearing Of A Dropping Pin as a ten year old on Calgary radio. As soon as we moved to Victoria I bought Canned Wheat, and to be honest have always listened to it more than American Woman, although both are fantastic. I grew up with the Guess Who. For high school a few of us even bought white shoes for graduation ceremonies! I got more than a few people hooked on your music over the years. At last count I think I saw the GW six times(with you fronting of course)and you solo eight times. Was there at BC Place in 1983, when you announced "the west is the best", and in Victoria in 1987 for Bachman Cummings, plus countless other performances. Am really thrilled to see today the tour dates announced. Presumably Victoria is not on the list because there is no venue big enough here on the island. One of our kids, who is nine, is practically begging us to let her come to the Vancouver show. Her younger brother used to like us to sing "Shake your Hand", as he called it, to him when we put him to bed. They really enjoying listening to Up Close and Alone when driving or at night in their rooms. Now a new generation has a chance to see and appreciate the greatest band ever to come out of Canada. The Guess Who always wore their maple leafs front and centre. It's great to hear Show Biz Shoes will probably be on the play list. Any chance we'll hear Old Joe or Lightfoot? From one proud Canadian to another, thank you for the decades of music, and memories.

Many of your true fans have always been aware of your kinder, more sensitive side, and your posts here certainly validate it. People are drawn to you not only because of your music, talent and and appearance, but also because you love what you do. I, for one, feel blessed everyday that you are 'happening' in my lifetime.
