I guess that means we've done our job as fans. If we can inspire you a fraction of what you've done for us...(no copy intended, a little common quirk) then that would be the ultimate compliment. I can recall a couple of times during your career when I wished for the ability to do so. I remember during the making of "Tears are not enough", when you were talking with Neil Young, that you seemed somewhat despondent. All the time, I was thinking: We're out here waiting, just load up the piano and hit the road. From the time I stood outside the old gates at CNE listening to a flute sound check (before I was old enough to stay out for a concert) til UC&A at Winspear, you've been a rock: strength, inspiration and comfort. If I had any lyrical talent at all, I would have written "A storyteller from the fold, and tho I've heard the ones he's told, they come back when I'm walking"...about you. Well, suffering from insomnia (and I couldn't have picked a better night for it) I could ramble all night...and I've already bared my soul much more than I would by the light of day, so I better stop before AW cuts me off.

I was at the McMaster show as well. Got some photos of the event. (Not of the 2 ladies who put the pie in Burton's face) By The way, Burton went right into Albert Flasher immediately after the pie. Was supposedly the last show of the tour and the band was in a relaxed mood. Burton did Got To Find Another Way and also The Skin Will Be The First To Go. I was at the Hamilton Place shows as well. The sound in that auditorium is incredible and the shows I saw were outstanding. Burton played for 2.5 hours with a full band and had the audience in the palm of his hand. I have always assumed that Draggin Them Down The Line and Charlemagne were from those shows. Mark
