Subject: Chords needed!

Here's a question for you more musically inclined folk:

I've figured out all of Glamour Boy for the piano, but I think something is missing. The phrase in question is "I think it'll work out....", that whole section. I'm fine when "Spin with the archer" comes back in. It's just that one part. It's a bear of a song to figure out, all poly-chordal. The main reason I can't figure it out is I'm trying to hear just the piano part through all the strings and the harp and all the over-production there. If you listen to it, it's really thick at that point. Too bad, because it's a real gem of a song.

What are the chords as you see them so far? There's a GW songbook out that includes Glamour Boy, but have not seen it yet and don't know how accurate or sophisticated the rendering is.

Well, I'm doing this from memory since my piano is upstairs and the computer is in the basement. I start the section on a Cmaj7 with the 9th added for 4 beats, which switches to a Cm7, no 9th for 2 beats, down to an F for 2, up to BbMaj7 for 4, which becomes minor7th for 2 beats, down to an Eb for 2 and back up to AbMaj7 for 4, then the Dm7 and the G for 2 beats each as it moves into "Spin with the archer" on the Cmaj7+9 again.

I hope I haven't confused the rest of you!

Wow, that is complex! I'll have to go to my guitar and see what I can come up with to fill in the missing piece. Now I realy want to see that sheet music from the Guess Who songbook.

So, have you got it all figured out yet? You should be done with it, Shiny Stockings, and 90% done with Nashville Sneakers by this time, Wolfgang Amadeous. :^)
