Jefferson Airplane was a great band, many good tunes, just
try listening to Good Shepherd on their Volunteers album.
But What is Dire Straits doing in a list like this, they only got one good song (Sultans of Swing) and the rest was
sort of music that yuppies listened in their BMW's.
But like Dirty Harry said: opinions are lie a**holes, everybody's got at least one.

Absolutely "All good Shepards. Agree somewhat on Dire Straits but check out one called Romeo and Juliet and tell me what you think. This one makes my memory water.

No offence, but during the early 80s I got a girlfriend, who really liked Dire Straits and forced me to listen to it, and if that wasn't bad enough, she hated BC's music.

Laughed for a LONG time over that one. Hey Odie, don't be so harsh on the Airplane. You want to get down, try scrounging up a copy of Bless Its Pointed Little Head. A great live album, with or without the assistance of controlled substances.

Burton did a Dire Straits song on a telethon called On Every Street. Don't know how DS did it but man, it's a beautiful song with BC singin' it.

Dire Straits is an excellent band with many good songs. Most of the music is not commercially driven except Money for Nothing. It's your opinion and I'll respect it but mine is Dire Straits is an elite band,(not sure about top ten but close).
