The crowd ran by quickly. At the last comment, the young Maximal sped up, and was soon out of sight around the upcoming bend in the walk. Poor kid. Art is a hot commodity on Cybertron these days. Especially if you’re good.

Alex was stunned by that display of affection towards the artist’s work. He wondered about returning to the park at a later date to find the young Maximal. You were saying, Orbital?

Well, I really hadn’t yet, but I will now. The Operatives are a close network of people dedicated to our cause. Most of them are people we know, close friends and such. Or people we have just recently come in contact with, and offered them the chance to join us. Nightshade is an example of the former, Batbot an example of the latter. It’s a very large network, I assure you. And always growing. Before long, we’ll have almost all of Cybertron following us. Hopefully, one day we’ll even turn control of the planet back over to the people who live on it, and not the greedy, power-hungry monsters in the Senate.

But then again, that’s a task for another time. Now, we have a future to save.

As Orbital had talked, they had started walking again. They had rounded the curve the Maximal and his mob had already disappeared around, and found they were near the exit/entrance of the park. And the exit of the majority of Orbital’s speech. Orbital stopped, and turned towards Alex. This, of course, isn’t all of it. There is more, as you will see gradually from being around the Council, and what we do. But it is the vast majority of it. I hope I haven’t scared you off before you even got started.

Instead, I hope that I’ve inspired you in a way. You really have been given a glorious opportunity here. Far from the opportunity you thought it to be at first, but in a vastly better way. We are fighting for Cybertron here, for ourselves, for our friends. I trust you’ll follow suit. Help us lead, Alex. Help us lead our destinies towards a brighter tomorrow. Cybertron needs your help.

Orbital held his hand out towards the human, hoping his talk had won him over…
