Almost level 45, hmmm.. gosh I have a hard time pointing to good melee baddies for that level, I am sure Doc can help out tho. If you can kill them on the new island, try the 'feral carenzi' though - they appear in big groups, and they drop level V and VI items, and very expensive loot. I find they seem to be weak to piercing.

Of course olthoi nobles are a good expensive loot source. I tend to pick up only stuff worth ten or more times the weight (ie if it weighs 300 it has to be worth 3000 or more for me to grab). Even buying spell comps, I can profit 1, 2, or 3 M notes per hunting voyage that way killing stuff.
