...and I've been having good luck in the OP lately, for the first time ever.

I'm currently portal-tied to the Sotiris Dungeon and I can run from there to pick-and-choose things. Ari Magnus introduced me to that area the other day and, as long as I stay away from the field NW of the lifestone, I can do pretty well there with fighting the things that I know I can kill and pick up their droppings. I'm a solo hunter, too, so I'm careful what I choose to engage unless I can drag it away from its spawn point to experiment.

When I get my house, I'll stop camping and move my LS back to the southern dires and continue fighting there where I've gotten some pretty decent loot.

Right now, I'm staying off of the island... not only do I want to stay away from the lag, but I have a tendency to die (death 368 is next), so I want to be fighting somewhere that I can recall to easily.

My loot rule is that if it's >1000 pyreals, I pick it up. Some people do 5000, but I'm poor ;) I generally net about 75K with each run (that's coming back at about 130%... which is much less that I'd typically return from somewhere... I can fight at Krau Li's, even the knights, until 150+ burden... in the OP and southern dires, I'm really strict with my burden). When I unload 1/2 of my comps onto Vasco, that will give me a *little* more room for more loot, but not much. I also carry an extra set of armor, but I'm not putting that down or I'll lose my first set on my death.

So, out of 75K runs, the first thing that I do is restock my healing potions to 30. This runs anywhere from 10K - 25K, depending on which town I'm fighting in and how many I need to buy. And I restock my stam potions, but they're cheap. So, that puts me down to about 50K. Every second or third run, I'm buying stones and I'll literally use every last penny that I have on them. Then, on my other runs, I fillcomps.

*shake head*

I don't know what it is about Larq, either. I do not have this problem so much when I play Ilu. Khalani's cheap and is able to save money, but it's because she wears GSA instead of lots of armor to fill with mana.

All I know is... I HATE MANA and I'm always poor.

Ah well, I also place a different value on other things, too, like shards... since I never get those either because Doc seems to be in league with the frags on Thistledown ;)
