About 2 years ago my drive light went out on my 97 LS as well. All you have to do is pop the black molding loose that surrounds the instrument cluster. Be sure to disconnect the cruise control button. Behind the molding you'll find about 4 or 5 screws that secures the cluster; once the screws have been removed, the cluster can be pulled towards you. Once you have the cluster out, unscrew the drive bulb and replace.

Since I never use the Drive #1, #2, etc, I just took one of those bulbs and replaced my "Drive" bulb. The dealer wanted $10 for a bulb that's smaller than your pinky nail!

The key to this job is to take your time. Don't be in a rush. The entire job only took me about 30 minutes from start to finish. Now that I know how to do it, I can probably do it in 15-20 minutes.

The dealership wanted $200 to replace the bulb.

Good Luck!!
