Appearance~ A solid dark gray in coloring.
Personality~ She is fast, very fast, even for most of her color, and enjoys racing her flakij. She has a calm attitude to most things, and strangely enough, her underbelly is not a solid dark gray, but an almost oily lighter gray. This sets her apart from most other of her color and from an early age she learned to veer away from crowds of young Jiv'ital like herself, knowing only ridicul would come from them. She enjoys solitude, but also the attention that was once given to her by the flakij.

Home World~ At one time it was Earth, but as the rules on Genetic Tinkering became stricter within the solar system Sol, the orginal experiment titled WaterBear was moved to a small hardly stable planet orbitting a red giant on the verge of explosion, after the experiment was completed, however, the scientists freed their creation to go where they pleased. Most were smuggled in cargo vessels and sent off to new planets in pairs, so that this species may thrive everywhere; soon the Jiv'ital were on most of the habitable planets, and even some that were not. Many natives however did not know they existed, for the Jiv'ital were secertive about there coming and going. So it would be safe to safe the Jiv'ital no longer remember their true birthplace.

Species' Colors~ They usually are seen colored within the range of seven solid colors: White, Gray, Dark Gray, Black, a dark green that almost looked idenical to black, dark yellow, and brown. However some Jiv'ital are seen with hide that glistened like oil, reflecting all of the afore mentioned colors at once. This is the result of a genetic mutation between a black and a white, and very few oil colors ever survive long. Oil hide tend to also feel greasy to the touch.
Temperament~ Each color varies, the lighter colors leading more cautious lives then those of darker colors, for survival reasons. They are goodnatured, or atleast more so then the darker colored ones. The darker colored Jiv'ital are calm, independent and swift footed. They are also know to have quick wits and perhaps an even quicker temper.
The oil colored have very little personality to speak of, being impassive and only truly able to express emotions when excited. Often during a hunt a previously dead to the world oil skin may unintentionally flush prey with loud and defeaning roars. Oil skins are weaker then the other colored. Lighter colors are extremely strong but slow, while the dark colors are fast and moderately strong.
Species' Description~ They are four legged creatures, with a hard cracked hide in place of fur or scales.
Their legs are heavily musculed, and their chest has extra layers of hide protecting the vital organs. This species has strong bones which are hard to break, but when they do break, they mend slowly and often aren't set correctly.
The body looks somewhat like that of the centipede(only four legs!), only much larger in height and perhaps less so long and with a slimmer, more repitillian body. The light colors have short legs but are heavily musculed, and move like tanks. The dark colors have longer legs and have more muscule in the hind quarters then the rest of their body. Oil skins have little muscule and are built like the darker colors. Each color has a tail, light colors having thick tails used for little beside clubbing their neighbor. This is why the light colors have very thick skulls.
The dark colors have a good sized tail used mainly for balance, but also for wrapping around things. Oil skins have no tail...
