I am somewhat anti-England, but to be objective England did not deserve to be beaten. Tactically they were successful in containing French attacking plays. France created very limited number of chances. Although I feel happy with the result, I must say France was lucky to escape.

Of course, the main happenings behind the defeat included: the penalty miss of Beckham, the unnecessary foul by Heskey which led to Zidane's 1st goal and the catastrophic backpass by Gerrard.
