Hi all,

Sorry to bud in on your forum Aaron, but I just needed to address this issue. For those of you who don't know I'm Aaron's ex-roommate. Sometimes I stop by and catch up on what other people outside of upstate NY are discussing.

Anyway, as a card carrying member of the Electronics Boutique sales force (and their ubiquitous 10% employee discount) I felt it was my responsibility to smite its besmirchers. I can't speak for the "whole" company, but I can tell you that most of us don't want to sell the X-Box as a bundle. Microsoft gave all retailers a choice...either sell the X-Box as a bundle, or not. Once it became apparent that selling the X-Box as a bundle meant we would receive more units, greater point of purchase/sale incentives and other amenities the company signed on. Believe me, the difference in number of units we would have gotten had we not participated would have been less.

As for the $35.00 accessory MS is smoking crack. I think it's $35 because the MSRP of X-Box games is going to be $54.99. It makes the accessory a little more reasonable, but still kind of dodgy.

Rich (who finally has something cool to put after his name in parentheses...I'm getting a GameCube in 2 weeks Aaron :-)!!!!)

PS Don't even bother with the PS2 bundle. Even we steered customers away while we were still requiring that.
