If you're thinking of upgrading from Windows 95, either a) get Windows 98 and forget ME exists or b) wait for Windows XP to be released in October.

The reason for the former is that (from what I hear) Windows 98 is much more stable than ME and ME doesn't really change/enhance much from '98.

The reason for the latter is that you'll have the latest operating system from the house that Bill built. Note: Buyer beware of their new software protection system which requires you to reauthorize your copy of window after making three hardware changes... EVERYTIME you make three hardware changes. :-(
