I use it all the time. While I try to avoid walkthroughs unless absolutely necessary (such as one of those annoying little puzzle-mini-games that add nothing to the story and impede progress for no good reason), I do like to go there to get tips, secrets, etc. when I'm playing through and game for the second time and trying to squeeze every last item and secret out of it. :-)

I also strongly prefer the japanese naming conventions for the elemental spells. They sound far better.

Some name changes during localization are definitely a good thing though. One has only to look at the differences between the U.S. and Japanese versions of Chrono Trigger to tell that. For example, it would have been a lot harder to take Magus seriously as a dark, mysterious, bad-ass wizard if they had used his japanese name, Jackie. What kind of a name for a villian is that.
