Subject: Name Changes

I do like some of the name changes:
Fire 2 Fira
Fire 3 Figa
Ice Blizzard
Ice 2 Blizzara
Ice 3 Blizzaga
Bolt Thunder
Bolt 2 Thundara
Bolt 3 Thundaga
Changes like this make it sound more realistic. I don't think black mages would actually call a spell "Fire 2". However some of the spell changes like Holy to Pearl don't make sense. I remember when I was playing FFVI for the SNES I always questioned why a spell would be called Pearl. I'm glad that Square left Nintendo, if they didn't then FFT would have never come to North America because of it's religious content. I've noticed that Nintendo has lightened up on certin toics recently, eg Conker's Bad Fur Day. However they still don't put cigarettes in games, like in Metal Gear Solid for the GameBoy.

So did you actually dust off your SNES and play FFVI (FFIII back then) or do you own the FFAnthology like I do?

If you want a good place to get data on a game go to www.gamefaqs.com This site has just about everything on any game in exsistance.
