I agree that there are some games that really stick with you, and FF VII is definitely one of them. It was the first game I bought for the PSX --- in fact, it was one of the reasons I bought a PSX in the first place. I had been itching to get my hands on a copy of it since I first saw it being played over at a friends. It took me a while to get the finicial resources together (it also helped that Wal-Mart put PSX's on sale at that time), but when I did, I certainly wasn't disspointed. Just going through the first Mako reactor made quite an impression on me.

FFVII represents the peak of the series in terms of visuals, story, and cbaracters even to this day, and although FF X will no doubt surpass it graphically, I doubt it will come close in the other categories from what I hear.
