Subject: I believe that you can NOT be 25 before December 31st of the year you would be competing at miss America If you were to win miss NJ. So thar would mean that girls competing now and are currently 23 can't have a birthday before the new year - 2104.

[> [> Subject: From what i can find online: "A contestant must be between the ages of 17-24 years of age. A high school graduate and no older than twenty-four (24) years of age on December 31, 2014 (for Miss America 2015)." And it goes on to further say: Must be a high school graduate or have successfully completed the G.E.D. testing program for high school equivalency or have successfully completed the academic requirements for entry into a four-year college/ university degree program by July 30th immediately preceding the National Finals. ((Which explains why high school seniors can compete - they would graduate prior to Miss america.)
