Subject: The rule is a joke. The rule should be that you can't compete in a pageant where you should be giving up your title.

[> [> [> Subject: I do agree that one shouldn't be able to compete in a triple pageant in which she currently holds the title, however, saying one triple pageant for your entire career is ridiculous. Some girls use every year of their six or seven year eligibility and to be able to do just one triple isn't realistic.

[> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: I think they are referring to Ellen competing in gateway/tri county/northern lakes pageant while holding the gateway title. She didn't win and then went on to eventually win Monmouth county at another pageant. I have heard this used as an example a couple of times for people questioning if you can re-compete In a multi-crown pageant.

I don't think the poster was insinuating anything negative about her, just using it as a reference.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: Oh!! YES! Forgot about that (and I was even there for it!) I didn't think they were insinuating anything bad. When I was running out of locals to compete for, I forfeited my Union County crown & competed for Miss Middlesex County, which I didn't win either. I did get an "okay" from Lou in advance. It obviously can be done, but my honest opinion is that you should experience working with different directors. So I've done it, and I'm not a huge fan.
