Some of the platforms are smoke and mirrors, ask Kelcie last time she actually touched a minature horse for her CHASE platform. Carissa, and Courtney have real platforms. Lauren (Cape May) has a real platform.

The problem is, why should the girls have a real platform when they get no "points" for it. 35% for talent but none for platform. I find a platform or a cause is more real. Interview is important because these young ladies have to go out and talk to the public. Represent their title, and spread the word about their platform. In other words, platform and public speaking are the more important pieces. But talent is 35%, used to be 45% maybe its time to revisit that. A good competitor does not necessarily make a good titleholder. Performing a song is not as important as helping some children learn to read. Just my thoughts.
