Subject: Without volunteers, the world does not go round. Americans need the CONSTANT reminder. “In this time of economic distress, we need service and volunteering more than ever to build a new foundation for growth,” said First Lady Michelle Obama. “This report suggests that Americans are responding to the hardship around them by reaching out in service to others, giving their time when they cannot give their money. It reminds us of the generosity of the American spirit, and challenges us to work harder to make service part of the daily life of every American.”

These girls are in college and working many jobs-- sometimes it's hard to dedicate themselves to one cause. They should help out WHEN they can WHEREEVER they can-- encouraging others to help others

[> [> Subject: Some of our girls bust their behinds on their platform, prep for Miss NJ, go to college, have a job, a social life and still find time for speaking engagements, appearances, food drives, visiting the armed forces and other forms of volunteerism. If your excuse is “it’s hard to dedicate yourself to one cause” due to time restraints, how will you find time to dedicate yourself to the Miss NJ program? Will you drop everything once you win Miss NJ? If you cannot handle your current load either lessen the load or learn better time management. Some of the girls with volunteerism platforms truly live their platform and put in a lot of work. Some do not. Same goes for those without volunteerism platforms.

People notice when you do little to no platform work and then try to cram it all in when Miss NJ is 3 months away.
