MISS AMERICA IS COMING BACK TO IT'S HOME!!!!

I've seen a lot of hoopla about girls needing to be Miss America ready. To me, this means our girl needs to be fit, polished, stylish, well spoken, and have a talent that needs very little (if any) work before September. I personally can only think of four maybe five girls at most that fit this billing.

Who is Miss America ready to you?

[> Subject: I fear that No One is Miss A ready. *For goodness sake don't send Brenna as she needs more experience. Sending her now would be a diservice to her and the program. As for the others, everyone seems has a weakness: No "It" factor, less than an 8 in talent, not Miss A pretty enough, unable to wear a 2-piece, no real domination of a platform or life experiences that brings wisdom or thoughtfulness to the interview, or just a lack of confidence to be Miss A ready. Other states seem to be extremely competative this year because of the caliber of the conestants, NJ seems to have an even playing field because there's no stand out. Just because a contestant did well last year doesn't mean this year's judges will be instructed to feel the same.

[> [> Subject: is there ever really a stand out? did you think Lindsey Petrosh was winning two weeks before orientation last year? What about Katharyn the year before? Some of these girls won their local 9 months ago. A whole lot can change for a teenager or early twenty something young girl in 9 months. Everyone has their favorites, but you won't really know who has risen to the top till after Friday night of prelims. At that point it's much easier to narrow it down to a few select girls.
