Subject: OOC: Umm...mine's too long too, and I don't want to have to figure out where to cut it to make it fit, so...please look inside

Rustam is fighting bravely, and a little rashly, seeing as it's his sister that's in danger (Yeah, they don't always get along so great, but when it really comes down to it, they would do anything for each other). Seeing the golden-haired girl get rescued, but the white-haired girl starting to go under, he whips out a dirk similar to Adwen's and slashes his way through the squirming tentacles. (It's amazing how heroic you can look/act when you're not really thinking about your own danger). He grabs the white-haired girl by the wrist and helps her up the beach (drags, really, but it all amounts to the same thing). Now it was only his sister in the water. Most of the tentacles seem to be squirming on the beach now, not attatched to the monster. There's nothing left to do but aim for the dark blob that seemed to be its body. He wades into the water, careful to avoid/cut off any stray tentacles. Finally getting to where Adwen is, he sees that the monster is really only a big blob of jelly and probably can't be killed by conventional methods. There is nothing to do but grab Adwen and make a quick swim/run for it before the blob realized she was gone. Taking a deep breath, he plunges under the water and gropes around until he finds his sister's hand. He rises to the surface quickly, dragging her along with him. He climbs up the sand, and when he gets close enough to the beach he takes Adwen in his arms (since it's easier to carry her that way) and continues wading through the now knee-deep surf. Without warning, one of the tentacles he didn't cut off creeps up behind him and cracks him over the back of the head, then twice across his back. The force of the blows knock him over and he lets go of Adwen. The poison starts taking control, acting amazingly fast. Knowing he probably won't make it to shore, he shoves Adwen as far forward as possible, then starts crawling after her. Unfortunately, the poison gets to him too quickly and he starts to black out. The tentacle that got him now wraps around his ankle and starts dragging him back. Too weak to resist, he watches dimly as the water closes over his head....
