The lake was Sage's favorite place to be. She would live there if she could. Spending every living moment there was very peaceful to her. Every time she came, she would either read or draw. This time, she drew.

Sage checked her pack one more time on the way to the lake. Everything was still there. They flew on, that is, her and Karossa:her dragon. Karossa was a dark blue dragon, and Sage matched him wearing dark blue and black.

"Set me down there, over by that tree sitting right by the shore." she ordered him.

They flew gently down to go about their business. Karossa dropped Sage on the shore, and she walked over to sit by/lean against the tree while her dragon took a dip in the water.

"What to draw..."she mumbled to herself.

Closing her eyes wasn't going to do much good but it cleared her thoughts. Still nothing. Frustratedly she snapped open her eyes and looked straight ahead, there was Karossa, having the time of his life. She'd sketched him before but she was much better now than the last time she drew him. So she began, first with the outline, the frame of his body. Then she shaped it, and slowly, step by step got a basic start. Then she paused and looked around. Nobody appeared to be there but she felt an eerie feeling of somebody watching her.
