Subject: Scaling the cliffs

The young elf gritted her teeth together as she pulled herself up the jagged rocks. Salty winds pushed her long black hair around her face like a mass of shredded banners. It didn't bother her that her clothes were soaked. She concentrated on the rough rocks, careful not to cut her hands on the sharp crests. The rocks were slippery, but Alarinne was careful.
At last, she reached the top and perched on the edge, slightly out of breath. The ocean was breathtaking, and, having spent her whole life in forest, Alarinne had never seen the ocean before. She gazed at it with wonder, imagining all the activity going on beneath the surface.

- Alarinne heard someone shouting below and she shaded her eys from the sun. She grinned and waved back, then made a swift descent. It was much easier to go down the climb up.
