This is just to be sure you stay in... after all, it's much better that you learn how to get your straps right 4 feet from the ground rather then 50!" *Paulth bends one knee and N'tek vaults up. Climbing into the riding straps he pulls one wher hide peace and secures it, before the bronze jerks left then right... N'tek stays put. He calls out to the weyrlings* "After you are sure you are safe and secure, your dragon should run forward, as fast as he or she can, pumping his or her wings. You should lift off the ground! If not keep trying, everyone gets it, it just takes some a little longer then others." *he pauses* "When you make it off the ground, try to reach a height of about 10 feet, you can use that marked cliff edge over there *he points to one cliff with a red mark on it* for a guide as of what is about 10 feet. Then dragons, spread your wings and glide down to the earth, keeping all four feet spread to get good balance when you land." *slapping Paulth once affectionately on the neck, her urges his dragon forward and Paulth runs, flapping wings, and almost immediately going aloft due to practice. The reach the red cliff mark... then glide back down to the soil* "Now you try!"
