You are right to a large degree. There are a great many things about Canada that make it a truly wonderful country. As for 're-discovering' an identity as a people, I can't quite agree with that. Canadians still need to further develop a truly seperate identity as a people in our own right. That is what Imperial Canada is all about.

As a young Canadian I am very
>proud of this Dominion and its rich heritage.

I too am proud of the rich heritage of Canada. However, I (and most people I grew up as a child back in the '70's and '80's) feel that Canada has outgrown the label 'Dominion'. Again, that is why I founded Imperial Canada. There is a hige and growing segment of the population of Canada who would like to see Canada become a republic and re-name Canada the Canadian Republic. I personally disagree with the republican movement in Canada. I would like to see Canada mature into being the Canadian Empire.

So lets have an Emperor (or Emperess) who lives in Canada and is a part of the greater community of Canada on the Maple Throne, better yet, the Imperial Maple Throne. After all, Queen Elizabeth is not a Canadian citizen, so lets replace her with somebody who is a Canadian citizen.

And we have eleven wonderful
>Canadians representing her throughout the country,
>celebrating Canada and promoting excellence.
>Rediscover our unique and wonderful Maple Throne.
>God Save the Queen (of Canada).

I agree with rediscovering our heritage, but I also say, lets move on to new and better things as well.
Many Thanks,
Ronald Dykeman
