Subject: Need help! NewB!

Hi! I found your site today and I love it!

I want to build a decoder for Jerrold/GI system. I am lookin then for the PIC16F84A. I was lookin' at www.sxtech.com and I can only find the SX-18 version of the IC.

What about that?

Can I code this IC to make the same job as the PIC16F84A ??? If so please show me how! And am I suppose to place a 1MOhm in serie with the 50MHZ osc or it can work with a 20 MHZ osc?

I am totally newbie!!! I read the page of the site for 3 hours now.
