I read Potter source code and 3 sentence of bcf AGCBIT is in source code. Will this improve the picture quality without giving the shadow problem?

According to the AGC Sample and Hold circuit, there a Capacitor that does not have a value. What value should I put? Is that the capacitor of the IF AGC that have to be taken out of the circuitry or a capacitor value need to be determined on various IF IC to get that particular voltage to active AGC?
