I have the circuit built the same but I still get that white band and obvious shadow. How should the source be modify to eliminate this AGC problem? I tried both 10nf and 2.7nf P-Cap but it does not help. I wonder if it is related to the software controlling the sampling. Also Is there anyway to prevent the unscrambled channels being decoded?
