Yeah, I have a question about how to sync two cameras to tape an interview of two people.

I am using a Sony DSR-500 and a Sony DXC-D35WSL. Everything will be shot in 4:3. My question is, do I need to have BNC cables connecting the TC-in and TC-out AND the Video-out Gen-Lock-in? Or can I just use the TC-in/out connection so that they are on the same timecode? Is it required to sync the signals or is that not necessary? What will I not be able to do ny not connecting the video/genlock? I plan to transfer to computer HD via firewire and edit in computer.

Thanks,
Richard
