You are very right, I was a large troublemaker in my youth... I know that surprises all of you *evil grin* I feel sorry for my poor mother some days. People are never sure how to ask about my current status :) She was once at the community swimming pool when she ran into an old teacher of mine. This teacher asked about my brothers and sisters, then said "...and Chris, where is he" I think she was hinting at "so which jail is Chris in?" My mother gets great pleasure from saying "Oh Chris, yeah he is a Nuclear Engineer..."

I agree Kirby might turn out ok, and I think we can help in his developement. That is why I think finding himself on the outside looking in is a good experience for him. Keeping the lines of comunication open with him, watch him and see if he is willing to do some growing up.
