Subject: Fighting Prejudice

o all concerned with fighting prejudice,

An issue has arisen that needs our desperate attention. It now
seems that Denver has its own Skeldon that is the shelter manager there.
This person believes and has claimed that four adult and eight
seven-week old puppies that were acquired from a police bust, will be
euthanized due to local ordinance. The law has been researched and it does
not exist. The local news station has run a story on this issue and
there have been an outpouring of people to help yet, the shelter manager
still stands firm that the dogs will be euthanized. I ask that you
contact the local news, who ran the first story:

FOX-31 KDVR
100 East Speer Blvd.
Denver, CO 80203
(303) 595-3131 (main)
(303) 566-2931 (fax)
Station: askfox31@fox.com
News: fox31news@fox.com

and ask them to run a follow-up. I thoroughly believe that this shelter will
submit to more media attention to have the dogs released to rescue so that they may be adopted out instead of just killed for being at the wrong place at the right time. Rachel Kruidenier and Spindletop has offered to take the puppies into rescue for rehoming to no avail.

Please forward this information to any lists that could help in this situation.

Thank you.

A BIG *Thank You* to all that participated and donated to "Toys for Pits", the dogs had a wonderful Christmas!
