clarification on this:

The Denver ordinance absolutely DOES give the shelter manager authority to kill all pit bulls. Pit bulls are completely outlawed in the city/county. But it also gives him discretion to dispose of them nonlethally (he claimed to LeahP that he HAD to kill them: not correct)

If you write about this, please make the fate of these innocent puppies PART of a bigger strategy to inform Denver about the horrific BSL that exists in their city. You can mention how unfair it is for responsible lawabiding citizens to be unable to have their breed of choice and how unfair it is for Denver to place restrictions on the freedom of movement of NONresidents (who must get permits to drive through the city with their pit bulls and may not stay overnight)
