Scenarios such as these are all too common in the Kingdom of God. Why is that? In my experience, God often takes His chosen vessels through a time of trial often to the point of despair in order to fulfill His greater purpose. Look at all that Joseph went through... sold into slavery, falsely accused and thrown into jail, and yet through it all, God's purpose is being made clear as the scenario unravels. Jacob grieved his entire life over the loss of his son only to have him brought back at a time when he was needed most. The bottom line is, if Joseph had not been sold into slavery, Israel would have starved when the famines came.

The point I am making, brother, is that as difficult as this time is, your "need" to make someone hear and understand does not change God's plan. Greater days are ahead and only then will you look back and perhaps begin to understand. For now, pray for this boy, his family, and that God will fulfill the plans He has for this young one. God may very well open the eyes of those around him and you can perhaps minister to the hurt and confusion that will certainly accompany it, but for now, your strength and prayers are what is needed most.

God bless you, and know that I am praying with you.

Because of Jesus,
Pastor Jerry
