No need to explain, Brother Tom. I took no offense or took anything the wrong way; rather, I rejoice in the love and support of your counsel !

And you are absolutely right...ministers are held to a higher standard. Whether that is fair or no from the eyes of society, we must also remember that to whom much is given, much will be required. And it is not, unfortunately, without its due, as we have seen with priests abusing children. By their fruits ye shall know them.

I must also say that God has surely called us together on this thread for more than just spiritual advice as, you see, I am in study even as we speak to become a paralegal myself ! Experience is the best teacher, so they say, so I would never shirk from any advice from you, my brother.

What hurts the worst about the entire situation is that because these insecurity issues are ones which harken back to my friend's childhood, and since she has no family, I am the only one on Earth who knows all of these oh-so-Freudian issues. I feel helpless knowing what is causing her the pain and being powerless to stop it because of her own mistaken ideas over my intentions.

There comes a time in everyone's life when one must do the right thing despite how much it hurts one's own self, and I just pray that my silence does not hinder even as I seek to not re-infect the wound. Please pray,my brethren...please pray.
