Shalom,

What! Someone doesn't see eye to eye with me on everything! They must be wrong (LOL!!!).

Actually I don't expect most people to see eye to eye with me on much of what I post. I did not grow up in a church but rather in a synagogue thus I tend to see most of scripture differently. My point in the postings is really to get others to "consider" things differently, not necessarily to accept them that way. If you will consider them differently then maybe you'll see that what you grew up with or what is normally acceptable "may" in fact be "tradition" and not truth. Then again just by looking at it differntly you may be able to lead me to see my error.

Example:
Are you saved?
Traditional answer - yes.
How can that be reconciled with;
Rom 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now [it is] high time to awake out of sleep: for now [is] our salvation nearer than when we believed.

This is essencially stating that CHRIST is your salvation not HIS dying on the cross. What you have accepted is what HE did and that you are calling being saved rather than what HE is which is your salvation. However, when you first see that YHVH is a three part being (FATHER, SON and HOLY GHOST) and that HE made us in HIS image (Gen 1:26) then you can see that HE made us as a three part being as well (Spirit, soul and flesh).

When you accepted what CHRIST did on the cross your SPIRIT is redeemed but your body and flesh are not. The word for saved or salvation in the Greek is Sozo and it is a continuing action word. A word that indicates a process. Sanctification is also a process and it is the process of saving or redeeming the soul (mind, will and emotions). Once this is complete then the final leg of our journey of being saved happens. Either we die or CHRIST returns and in either case then in the twinkling of an eye the flesh will be redeemed to YHVH and consumed and we will be given a new one. (1 Thes 4:14-18)

Thus we are not yet saved but rather are, what the Bible calls "believers"!

If after you have read one of my post or heard one of my sermons you walk away with questions then I have done exactly what I believe YHVH has called me to do. I have placed a seed in you that will make you "study to shew thyself approved!" (2Ti 2:15)
