Its good to see the medical side of things thoroughly explored. There are so many disorders that could cause halucinations of this kind.

I think it would be in your best interest to team up with someone thoroughly trained in Nuetheic councelling if all biological disorders are ruled out then this kind of Christian counceling is the best way to go to get at the behavioural causes of such problems. You may still want to keep an open mind to demonization as it is possible that a spirit is causing the confusion presenting itself in a manner that has been effective in the family in the past. All the more reason to suggest teaming up with a more experience pastor. This is a great opportumity for you to learn and be equiped for ministry to those in bondage of the false notion of "mental illness" being the only explantion for such things.
