Subject: church

Dear Pastor's:
I have come to this site to ask a question, but before I do I have a few things to "say".
I met Jesus more than 30 years ago and have been looking for answers.
Have I asked preachers, yep. Only to get dismissed or answered in such a fashion as to dissuade me from asking anything again.
I am spoken down too. Am I Einstein, No! I am not stupid either. Maybe its because I am female and well, that is another discussion. I also don't want fluff answers.

I have come to a conclusion that there are two types of Christians: intellectuals and visceral's.
I would hope that on this narrow path journey that these would blend and become the best of both.
My questions is simply this: " what should a healthy body (HIS church) of Christ look like, act like? "
I see greed, power struggles, elitism, lust, need for prestige and all the rest of the human condition.
My understanding is that is why HE took the cross to rescue me from me.
We have met the enemy and the enemy is "me"?
If you sense anger, there probably is, and frustration. Aren't pastors out there to equip the lay people for what every work GOD has planned for them?
Not just fleece the flock and brow beat and and and. Would rather not go on with all the negativity. There is negative enough in this.
If you choose to answer, I would appreciate it, but don't bother with counseling me. I really don't want it, just answers, information to evaluate and analyze.
Its my choice what to do with it then. Keep the meat and toss the bones.

Thank You A Seeking Soul.
