Hours later, after Black Ice had drifted to sleep, and the sun was setting, she stirred. Auds flicked back and forth, and she raised her head, stretching her front limbs out in front of her. She pushed lazily to her paws, shaking the pine needles from her coat before following her nose to fresher air, and the open tundra. It didn't take overly long to reach the open, and she paused briefly on the edge of darkness, letting her eyes adjust to the glow of the moon on the ice. She stepped out into plain sight, and wandered through the pack lands, her mood somewhat lifted after her nap. Her thoughts drifted once again over the few members of the back, her thoughts stalling and idling on Silver Mist's grandson. She wondered how difficult Thunder would be, if he'd cause problems for her, for the pack. She had no doubt Mist would be able to handle him... but as her backup, Ice had to stand a strong position, or risk losing it.
