Hi Dj...
i tried to respond to this last night but wasn't able to... someone who has never had a child with mental illness or disabilities has NO clue what a parent goes through to make sure that their child has everything they need. i don't think you should stop fighting for your sons best.Also, its a laugh or joke to even assume you'd want him for his measly small check(i assume its ssi?) as i said noone has any clue unless they've lived it. I was turned in once when my daughter was 6 (i think it was) because someone who had an issue with me said that i abused her. She had a seizure disorder along with many other disabilities and she'd seized and fell head first into the corner of the wall..nothing came of it because i always documented and called the doc as needed... you have to document everything.
i'll pray for the situation
