Did you actually see that or was it possibly reported by anti-Catholic sources? I find it very hard to believe.

dori this is where I have problems. What I'm hearing about the Catholic church is about the direction it is going to take after Pope John-Paul II passes away. I'm very concerned that a leftist brand of liberals is set to make an influence on the direction of the church. Consider the younger the heirarchy of the church the more influenced they will be of the world. The reason I say this COULD happen is because of the lack of a prompt definite stand they have taken with regard to the sexual abuse plus the continual insistance that the Pope has the final say in doctrines the church should follow. In my view this can lead to disaster if the next Pope condones homosexuality for instance as an example. People will not leave the church in fear of being classified as an athema. Then they are in a sense forced to accept homosexuality as a church. So now you have a church that does nothing about the homosexual priests, nothing about the other molestations and has a leader that accepts homosexuality (for example). And I'm concerned it may not end there. I'm also concerned they may actually change essential doctrine regarding the Deity of Christ and the Trinity in the future.

I'm just sharing with you that I, myself would seperate myself from that church. In my church we had an issue about ten years ago where a man was molesting his 2 grandaughters. This man was a pillar of our church. A great man and leader that unfortunately had a secret life until one of his grandaughters exposed him to the church. Our church dealt with the issue right away. He was asked if he would repent of his sin and could not attend a service until it was dealt with. He refused and even denied he was doing anything wrong. Within one month that man was excommunicated from the church. I believe Jesus wants to present His bride the church before His Father as pure and undefiled. What do you think dori?
